Note: this post includes some affiliate links. Thanks for supporting A Healthy Slice!

Every day is different around here so it’s tough to find a typical one for a day in the life post. I can always pretty much guarantee the same morning antics though, compliments of this little peanut.

Today she’s up early so I’m attempting to type as she bounces around me, but yesterday she waited until post blogging to wake up and latch on. She’s in a mommy phase right now and it’s heartwarming and consuming all at once.

PS- if you’re peeking through her arms at my old lady slippers, laugh away. These are the more comfortable and supportive slippers I’ve ever owned.

Breakfast was an over-medium egg on toast with avocado and sriracha- a favorite. Side of leftover green beans too, because I got my weird eating habits from my mom.

By 9:15 we were all up, fed, dressed and taking selfies to prove we all had on real clothes.

It’s a rare occurrence around here as I love my yoga pants and Hailey loves wearing jammies, however it’s been a more regular thing now that StitchFix has nailed my last 2 deliveries! My shorts and top are both from them and are perfect for typical day to day mom living.

We arrived at the library where I envisioned cuddling and reading, but in reality it was petting the statue cat, playing matching Dora games on the computer and chasing around Kaitlyn to keep her from knocking every single book off the shelf.

After the library, our new sitter met us at the house and took over lunch and nap duty while I took off to go pick up Julie for lunch in the city with CVS. I’d been dying to try 5Church and was thrilled that the food lived up to the hype.

My low-light camera skills did not though, so I didn’t do my lamb burger and fries justice. Guess I’ll just have to go back!

I really had a great time chatting it up with Tori from the CVS team, as well as Molly and Katie, among other blogger friends. We left with some goodies which the girls promptly tore into post-nap (or attempted nap/quiet time for Hailey).

It was a beautiful and HOT day, perfect for a little afternoon splashing fun. Since my regular playgroup gals all had sick kiddos, I took the girls to the splash pad for Kaitlyn’s first experience.

They hated it.

Yup, no fun whatsoever.

We were all a little tired by the time we got home so Hailey traded in her two daily TV tokens for a special evening showing of The Princess and the Frog, which I watched part of with her on the couch before starting dinner (ahem, reheating leftovers) for all of us.

The movie pushed us a little later than the norm. Still, we wrangled the troops for bath time.
