Hi friends! Welcome to the very first edition of Munchkin Meals!

I came up with the concept after I started posting Hailey’s meals on What I Ate Wednesdays (via the lovely Jen at Peas and Crayons). I saw that a lot of people were interested in what she ate. I also was interested in what others were feeding their babies and children. I figured what better was to share our kids’ meals and get new ideas to use ourselves than to throw a link up party! Goodness knows I’m always looking to switch things up.

We use Baby Led Weaning. Here’s why and how we began. Do you use BLW? Purees? A blend? Show us what works for you!

Now on to a day of Hailey’s eats…

Breakfast was scrambled eggs with organic green pepper, baby portabella mushrooms and diced yellow onions. Diced local peaches and Cabot cheddar cheese, too.

Lunch was a stir fry. Organic red pepper, organic spinach and free range chicken sautéed with brown rice in coconut oil. Diced organic grapes on the side.

Dinner was whole wheat ravioli stuffed with spinach and cheese (from the freezer) and diced grape tomatoes. The pasta is drizzled in olive oil. Why? Not because I’m trying to raise a fancy child, but because now that Hailey is crawling, she’s burning more calories and her weight percentile dipped, so the olive oil is to add in a few extra calories for my growing girl!

Now, your turn! Link up and show us you munchkin meal. If you have any troubles or questions, please email me at Brittany@ahealthysliceoflife.com
