Fact:
This place is worth driving into Charlotte for
Fact:
I have a wonderful group of girlfriends
Fact:
Drinking one of these will make you feel worse, not better.
Fact:
You know Brittany (yes, talking in third person is awesome) is feeling sick when she can only eat 1/2 of her delicious seared tuna and be full.
Fact:
Next time I’ll take my fancy camera, despite it’s big, awkward size, so my pictures don’t turn out this awful ever again.
Fact:
In the past two years, America’s obesity rate has risen 1 percentage point. This means that more than 72 million U.S. adults (26.7%) are obese.
Fact:
A recent study from UCLA shows evidence that pancreatic cancer cells that were fed both glucose and fructose, used the fructose to divide and proliferate. What does this mean? It could mean that high-fructose corn syrup intake could be linked to pancreatic cancer (one of the most deadly types). This would challenge the common wisdom that all common sugars are the same, and show further evidence that America needs to decrease their intake of HFCS.
Fact:
Researchers from China say that obsessive web-surfers are 1 and 1/2 times more likely to develop depression. The study was done with teens that surfed the web 5-10 hours a day or more. Of course they can’t say that surfing the ‘net causes depression, but I thought it was interesting non-the-less…and has me thinking about disconnecting from the web a bit more 😉
Fact:
I am running a low-grade fever this morning and feeling pretty lousy. Guess I learned that I should listen to my body and actually STAY HOME when I feel like I should. I don’t have much of an appetite, but started the morning off with some oat squares and blueberries anyways… no picture necessary, just check out the past few morning’s pictures 🙂
Have you heard any interesting health facts or studies recently?
And don’t forget to check out my newly updated blog roll! You’ll find some wonderful reads on there 🙂

I am so sorry that you aren’t feeling well! Rest up sweets!
Oklahoma is in the top 10 of fattest states in America. That obesity number does not shock me at all.
THE HFCS study makes me want to avoid it even more..thanks for posting!
PS–I havent posted my morning blog post yet, but there is something that you will find exciting in there!

Fact: I am beyond excited that I made your blogroll. You just made my day 🙂
I heard that also about the fructose. It’s a really scary thing. I started cutting out (almost) all foods that contain HFCS about a year ago, and it’s in so much stuff, it’s really frightening. I hate all this stuff they add to our food, our water, everything, and by the time they find out all the bad side effects, it’s gotten completely out of control. I read a very similiar article about Folic Acid, by the way. I wrote a post about it somewhere. That is something that also runs rampant in our foods.

I like your fact about your camera. I do that all the time. My Nikon D3000 is HUGE and when I go out I hate lugging it around. I already regret it when it comes time to blog.

You need your rest woman, FACT.
Those are some amazing, draw dropping notables. Fact is most people know they are doing wrong and won’t fix it.
I love your pretty pictures regardless of the pixel ratio, haa.
FEEL better!
Sarah @ The Smart Kitchen says
FACT: The first time you whip out your big old fancy camera at a restaurant, it’s slightly awkward, but I now will actually stand up and move plates around the table for better lighting and not care at all. 🙂
FACT: Listening to your body screaming “REST!” is hard, but I’m glad you are doing it.

Always enjoy your blogs! Adding information is a good idea. Information helps with motivation to eat well and learn from “ahealthysliceoflife.com”. As a psychologist I see people on a daily basis who eat unhealthily due to anxiety, depression, and relationship issues.
Lindsay @ Pinch of Yum says
Fact: I can totally relate to the dilemma of bringing the big camera to social events. What a conundrum. Who wants to be the girl with the big camera? Yet… who wants to be the blogger with mediocre pictures? Boo.
Fact: I, too, feel sick from a tad too much wine last night. Boo again.
Fact: I like your blog! 🙂

I’ll have to try the Dandelion Market next time I’m in Charlotte!
