You know those vacations when at the end you are soooo ready to be home?
This isn’t one of them.
In fact, I feel like we are just getting in the swing of things.
Hailey has warmed up to the beach. It almost took a week, but she actually walked down to the water ALL by herself!
Having her be a bit more relaxed has helped me relax, too.
In fact, I even got in a circuit on the beach. Exercise is much more fun with crashing waves in front of you. And when your niece is a willing yoga buddy.
Koda has been in vizsla heaven; running free, getting a ridiculous amount of attention and even catching some waves.
We’ve experienced several water gun ambushes.
And tried our luck at catching crabs.
Hailey has been having so much fun trying to keep up with her big cousins. They are all so sweet to her and you can see she is super proud to be one of the gang.
A week of sun and sand was a great way to relax. We’ve lucked out with perfect weather allowing us to have some gorgeous evenings on the beach.
All in all, a wonderful vacation with quality family time.
Sounds like a cheesy after-school-special type vacation, doesn’t it? Complete with a khaki and white family picture 
But now I’m off to soak up what remains of vacation.
Next week brings back reality an I’m not quite ready for it yet.

I have enjoyed your vacation posts! So fun! I have just added Bald Head Island to my list of places I want to go. Looks so inviting and with taking the ferry over and only golf carts on the island…oh my. Sounds like paradise.

That picure of all the cousins lined up on the beach made me smile! I’m sure it will make it’s way into many slideshows – graduations, weddings, etc! Glad y’all had fun. Getting back to a normal routine takes me a good 3-4 days, especially after having so much fun and 0 real responsiblity. You’ll get there sooner than you think!

It’s true. Most vacations I’m so ready to get back to my bed, my routine, my kitchen and my food…but it’s the sign of a really fantastic vacation when you feel like you could live there 🙂

Hailey’s little bum sticking out the side of her diaper in the picture with her sitting with the cousins…I die!!! (baby/toddler/anything under 5 bum’s are seriously the cutest things ever haha – or do I sound like a creep? Let’s just pretend I’m purely talking about Nia here 😉 haha).
