Is September the best month or what? The weather starts to mellow out just a little, leaves start to change, and the anticipation of the holiday season is ahead, but you aren’t in the fray of it yet… sigh, I love it!
Here are some other things I’ve been loving lately and wanted to share with you, too. Play along! Is there something that has made life easier or happier lately for you? Tell me what it is in the comments 🙂
Travel Backpack
I have been wanting a light but durable backpack for day trips, hikes, and traveling and I was shocked to have found exactly what I wanted for such a decent price. I love this thing. It is compact, but still fits my laptop, a book, my wallet, a water bottle, and the other small random needs like toothpicks, Band-Aids, and ChapStick. It’s comfortable to wear and is water resistant. It comes in a bunch of colors, too!
Rechargeable Electric Candle Lighter
Candle season around here is in full swing. While I replaced the batteries in my favorite flameless taper candles, I also can’t deny my love for the real thing. I just ordered the fall candle set from Life in Lilac, which I’ve heard are incredible. This lighter is a must have for candle lovers, as it quickly lights even the wicks at the very bottom of a big candle and can be recharged and used again and again.
Bowl Combo Dishes
I LOVE these bowl combo dishes for fall and winter. They are solidly made and have so many uses. Chili and Fritos. Tomato soup and grilled cheese. Veggies, crackers, and a dip. Soup and salad. Milk and cereal. I’d always serve lunch to the girls with a bowl sliding all over a large plate, but no more! File this under one of those very simple upgrades that pays dividends in happiness returns.
Whatever After Book Series
This is a series both girls have loved for years. Hailey even got the newest special edition release, Abby in Neverland, for her birthday. I wanted to share this amazing deal for the first three books as a set for on $6! A great gift idea for girls (or boys if they like fairy tales)- the series follows Abby (10) and her little brother, Jonah (7), as they travel through a magic mirror in their basement into fairy tales, mess up the fairy tales, and have to “fix” their mess up.
Primally Pure
I first shared Primally Pure with you three years ago but on my most recent deodorant restock (for myself and my tween) I shared on IG, I was flooded with messages from friends either asking for more info on it or telling me how much they loved it, too. So I thought it deserved its own shout out on here in case you are in need of natural deodorant that really works. I also use their dual facial cleansing set and love that. Use code AHEALTHYSLICE10 for 10% off your order.
Three-In-One Charging Station
As I was packing this week, I was pulling out all my travel favorites and when I unplugged this gadget from my bedside table I was reminded at just how convenient it is. I use it for daily use, but the way it folds up for easy travel makes it just that much better. Charge your Apple watch, iPhone, and ear pods all on the same charger.
Apothekary
I’ve shared my journey to cut back on how often I have wine, and having another “special” type of drink to sip while cooking dinner definitely helps me. I ordered 4 different Apothekary blends to try after seeing people sing their praises on IG. And I will say… I’m liking it!
The “Stop Your Wine-ing” is the blend I use most often and is “an alcohol alternative featuring stress-reducing motherwort and jujube date plus antioxidant-rich acai and aronia berries that nourish the body and boost the immune system.” It doesn’t taste like red wine and since it’s herbs, it doesn’t fully dissolve, but it’s easy to drink, slightly herbal, but I swear it makes me feel more relaxed, like that “take the edge off” feeling I crave some evenings.
Clay Bead Bracelet Making Kit
My girls love making those cute and trendy clay bracelets and this set we have is available at an amazing deal right now (don’t forget to stack the clickable coupon). This makes a great gift AND is just a lot of fun for anyone. I made a mom beaded bracelet with H & K on it that I wear all the time now; it’s so cute.
That’s all I have for now! As I start to noodle over gift guides (I know, I know… but I like to be ahead of things), I’d love to hear something you’ve been loving lately or something your kids have loved lately if you’re in the mood for sharing 🙂
