This weekend I learned that when David is out of town, I spend a ridiculous amount of time taking pictures of Hailey. You’ve been warned.
I learned that teething toddlers don’t really enjoy eating food.
They don’t even enjoy the pouches. Well, eating them. Squeezing them is still a lot of fun.
Though Hailey wouldn’t eat dinner, I learned that she will sit through it if another tot is in tow. Thanks for the dinner date, Caden!
This weekend I learned that Homegoods is an amazing store for home furnishings and décor… until you need two of something.
Have you seen my twin?
I also learned kids carts don’t always make shopping easier. They will bring you lot of attention, though, when your child flails wildly in an attempt to escape the harness.
Don’t let her calm demeanor fool you.
This weekend I learned the optimal time to NOT go shopping with a teething toddler… on Saturday afternoon… the day before the Super Bowl… at Target.
However, Target has pretty good deals on food when you need a one stop shop.
This weekend I learned that I can only meal plan once Hailey looks like this-
Awww…. my heart melts.
but that I don’t mind.
Homemade Chick-fil-a and Avocado Feta Salsa
Chicken Piccata over Whole Wheat Linguine with Broccoli
Loaded Baked Potatoes and Salad
Taco salad with Cheese Quesadillas
Use up the Fridge
Congratulations Comment #28, Nikki! You won the chocolate and cheese gift basket. Check your email!
Did you learn anything this weekend?

Ah teething toddlers suck. I’m pretty sure Penny is getting her last molar in…
Shari says
Ah, HomeGoods is the BEST STORE EVER. Maybe another one will have the same piece of furniture in stock?
I hope Hailey feels better soon!

I called to check- no luck! Time to scour the internet ):

Thanks for your honesty! It’s funny how the sweetest little thing can throw the biggest tantrums.
Lee says
Haha, does Koda have applesauce (or whatever’s in the squeeze pack) all over her back?
Brittany says
Haha, YES! It was a mess, but of course I had to laugh and take a picture before wiping them both down. 🙂

I learned that I am not ready for kids. I went to a one year old birthday party and was exhausted when I left!! Do you ever get to sit down when you have kids!? 😉 It was too much!
Presley @ Run Pretty says
I’ve never been to a Homegoods! I need to find one…
Brittany says
FInd one at your own risk. I find myself “needing” everything in that store!
Paige @ Your Trainer Paige says
What a cutie…why wouldn’t you take a million pictures of that face?! Love the high chair pic 😉
Sarah @ The Smart Kitchen says
“Use up the fridge”—-> my meal plan for every day 🙂
I learned…that I relish in alone time, but that I can also sometimes get lonely. 🙁 [It wasn’t so bad. I was very busy!]
Sad that I missed the giveaway, but probably a good thing since I’m fairly lactose intolerant, huh? I WILL say my favorite Wisconsin cheese pairing was one I tasted at an event in Austin, from the Wisconsin Cheese Board themselves: gorgonzola on crystallized ginger slices. Holy COW (heehee).
lindsay @ fuelmyfamily says
target sucks me in…but mine doesnt have fresh produce, only dry goods, so i can get out of there easily without random food buys. Earrings, sunglasses, clothes, and those dollar bins dont stand a chance however…

Your grocery shopping carts full of fresh food are inspiring. When I’m at the grocery store, I think “What would Brittany buy?” Dead serious. I hope that doesn’t freak you out 🙂
I learned this weekend that giving up my morning tea (aka: caffeine) was the dumbest thing ever. I’m a better, happier person with my green tea. I literally skipped out of the coffee shop on Cloud Nine.
Also, I for one, will never complain about an abundance of Hailey photos. Or Koda ones. Or grocery cart ones.
Nicole @ Fruit 'N' Fitness says
I think Bentley would have been going crazy trying to eat what had dripped on his back. The Target near me doesn’t cary real groceries, just snack foods, but it looks like yours has a great selection! Love Hailey, keep the photos coming 🙂 she is adorable!
Liz @ iheartvegetables says
You gotta take lots of pictures! She’s growing up so fast!
Kristen @ notsodomesticated says
I learned that at this point in my pregnancy, I can’t do errands for more than a couple of hours without being completely exhausted. And I learned that I need to stretch my calves a bunch before I go to bed, or else I get leg cramps. So fun. 😉
