This post is brought to you by our friends at Rritual Superfoods.
Do you enjoy ending the day with a sweet snack? How about a chocolatey, healthy snack bite that will conquer your sweet craving in a fulfilling way while also helping you wind down from a busy day? …yes? Let’s go!
If you’ve been around for a while you know I’ve been trying to incorporate functional mushrooms into my routine for quite some time. I’ve struggled on two fronts though.
First, some brands I tried had too strong of a flavor and I just couldn’t get it down the hatch. Secondly, I care a lot about the quality and transparency of the product.
I found my solution with Rritual Superfoods, the first premium brand in the functional mushroom and apaptogenic market.
All Rritual products are made with organic functional mushrooms that are grown and harvested in the US. They help support a healthy response to stress and help optimize mental, cognitive, digestive, and immune health.
All good stuff, right? Right! But no benefits are gained unless it actually tastes good, so I’m so excited to share with you my favorite ways to enjoy two of their most popular products.
While all Ritual products can be mixed with any liquid (right into water, coffee, tea), they can also easily be added to smoothies or baked goods to increase the superfood power too.
My favorite thing about Rritual is that all their products contain their immune synergy blend, which consists of reishi, maitake, shiitake, agaricus, cordyceps, and turkey tail mushrooms along with acerola cherry, which offers the highest vitamin C content of any fruit.
The first product I want to highlight is their Lion’s Mane Focus* Elixir Blend with Rhodiola and Bacopa. With my early mornings for work, it’s nice to charge up my mental power at breakfast to get ready to switch gears to homeschool mode.
You’ve all made a smoothie before, but if you want a surefire combo that is going to taste delicious and be the right consistency, try my go-to blend:
- 1 c frozen berries
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 1 scoop vanilla protein
- 1 scoop collagen
- 1 scoop Rritual Focus* Elixir
- 1 c milk of choice (I’ve been using vanilla oat)
Blend, pour, devour, and get ready to focus!
The Rritual Reishi Relax* is a unique product that has really won me over. I love it in the evenings, in the exhale after a busy day. I like marking the transition to evening with tea, elixirs, anything that signifies and supports unwinding and shifting into relaxed mode.
While a scoop of Reishi Relax* in my favorite tea works beautifully, these Reishi Relax Snack Balls with Ashwagandha and Cacao are a delicious and healthy way to ease into the evening.
What’s in them?
- Organic Reishi Mushrooms – known as the “mushroom of immortality,” reishi mushrooms support a healthy stress response
- Ashwagandha Root – one of the most popular adaptogen herbs today, not only for the balancing stress support it provides, but also for its calming benefits to the body and mind
- Walnuts – rich in heart healthy fats and high in antioxidants
- Dates – adds natural sweetness in and are rich in polyphenols
- Cacao – packed with flavonoids and have been shown to help lower blood pressure, improve blood flow to the brain and heart, and possibly increase insulin sensitivity
- Chia Seeds – excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids and provide fiber, iron, and calcium
