These great gifts for two year old girls covers all the bases from art to active play. As a mom to two girls, I can assure you that the two year old in your life will absolutely love these gifts, so save for later and share with your friends to make gift buying easier than ever this year!
Little People’s Disney Princess Song Castle
We’ve had this adorable Little People Princess Castle in our house thanks to Aunt Cara and Uncle Stat since Hailey was two years old and it still (three years later) is a household favorite. The princesses, when placed on the dance floor, each say their name, a statement and sing a segment of their respective movie songs. Kaitlyn even brings the princesses to bed with her at night. It’s a guaranteed hit! (See also: the newest Little People Disney Castle version)
Art Mosaic Projects
Ideal for the older two year old, this princess mosaic set or the pet mosaic set both have larger foam tiles that are easier for smaller hands to use as they further develop their fine motor skills. It’s a great first art project and kids two to three years old will love it.
Bath Toys
As if bath time wasn’t already enough fun, this Musical Duck Race Toy basically turns the bathtub into a water table game! If that’s too splashy, try this adorable fishing pole bathtub set or the light up Koi toy for more bathtub fun.
Books
Two years old is a great age for any of the My First Look and Find books. We have several and they are great for Kaitlyn because she will sit in her crib looking through them when she’s having her daily “nap” or when she wakes up in the morning. Other current favorite books include A Visitor for Bear and Ribbit, both are which are sweet stories with just the right amount of words on the page to keep a toddler’s attention.
The Code-A-Pillar
Designed to teach young kids the beginning concept of coding, kids (ages 2 1/2 to age 6 ideally) connect the 9 segments to program the path of The Code-A-Pillar, which lights up, makes sounds and blinks as it goes along its path. I’ve heard really great things about the product and am excited to play with it with the girls on Christmas morning.
Cardboard Playhouses
I feel like I suggest this every chance I can, but it’s only because this Coloring Playhouse Cottage was/is such a huge hit in our house! For more creative play, you can also check out the pirate ship version and the corrugated castle coloring house.
Dress Up Clothes
I love this age because pretend play is really starting to gear up. I love snagging some post Halloween discounted costumes for the girls to dress up in (or try checking your local Goodwill which can have some great finds sometimes too). If you are looking to start from scratch, this Disney Princess Dress Up Trunk is a reasonably prices starter kit OR check out this adorable super hero cape and mask option!
Household Cleaning Supplies
I’m talking toys not Clorox. I love how much little kids think chores are fun (may it always stay that way!). We have this yard tools set for the kids and they love helping in the yard. For inside chores, this sturdy clean up the house set is perfectly equipped to give them everything they need to “help” out! Start ’em young -wink.
Step 2 Up & Down Roller Coaster
This would qualify as a splurge gift, but splurge we did after seeing how much my nieces and nephews loved and used theirs (for years). This three piece track locks safely together and the riding cart has a high back and handrail for safety. It’s a toddler’s dream!
Bilibo
Though it looks super simple (because it is), this Bilibo toy has won awards by child development experts as it inspires creative, imaginative and limitless play for kids ages 2 and up. Rock it, fill it, wear it, slide it– toddlers will love it!

This came at the perfect time. I’ve been struggling a bit with ideas for my daughter for Christmas. Especially since her birthday is a few short weeks later. That roller coaster is awesome. We have a friend who has one and the kids love it. Great ideas.

We bought a cardboard playhouse a couple years ago (at your suggestion!) as entertainment for our daughter’s birthday party, and it was a huge hit. At the end of the winter, I folded it flat and tucked it away until the following winter. It’s held up really well and is a great source of indoor entertainment in the winter months. Highly recommend!

Oh my gosh- putting it away and bringing it back out is so smart!! Ours is on its last legs after being duct taped together over several years and I’m totally going to use that idea for our next one. Thank you!

Going along the arts and crafts route, Alex makes great kits like tissue paper fish, paper plate bugs, and paper bag animals! They’ve always been a hit as gifts for friends! You can find them on amaZon
Brittany Dixon says
Oh those sound great! Definitely going to check them out- thanks!

I gave my niece a bilibo when she was 2 and she absolutely loved it. Her then 7 year old sister did too, and I regretted not buying 2. The reviews are true. It really did stimulate their creativity. They used it for everything from a ‘chair’ while watching movies or reading to a stepping stone to a doll bed and so much more.
Brittany Dixon says
That is so awesome to hear! It makes since when think about how much kids loves boxes that another fun shaped object would have endless possibilities. Thanks for the feedback!

After your rave reviews last time about the cardboard house, we got one and it was the most used thing I have ever bought! I take it down in between uses so it wouldn’t get too beat up. That thing is seriously awesome! I’ve seen the code caterpillar and think it’s such a neat idea but I think my kids are too old for it. Bummer! I have to say we had a bilibo and honestly it was a huge waste of money. It is way too hard to sit in and doesn’t spin-it just tips over with the weight. You could step on it I suppose but…step stools work too. My kids were not impressed and it got tossed out. I used it as a dog toy holder for a while though and that worked well.
Brittany Dixon says
As a dog toy holder!! I’m laughing so hard at that! (insert crying laughing emoji here)
Great feedback though- thank you so much for weighing in and I’m so glad you loved the cardboard house as much as we do!

My daughter is 19-months old and she is obsessed with cleaning supplies, gloves, broom, etc. I’ve been wanting to get her the Code-A-Pillar. Maybe she’ll get it for Christmas. Super cool.

Ok, slightly embarrassed by how many of these we have, but my girls love ALL of them! The dress up clothes, cleaning set, and roller coaster are all some of the most played with toys in our house! They’re always a hit during play group too

Hi Brittany,
Great and very cute gifts. Cardboard Playhouse is the best among all. I also like gifting books to everyone be it a small kid or an adult.
Thanks,
Corrine
